The Florida Aquarium is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution whose mission is to entertain, educate and inspire stewardship about our natural environment. The Florida Aquarium is home to more than 20,000 aquatic plants and animals representing species from Florida and around the world.
Eight Sea Turtles Return Home
Eight juvenile green sea turtles went back home today!
After three months of intensive care at our Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in Apollo Beach, Mel, Pepper, Calico, Tula, Pompano, Phyll, Mo, and Mac were cleared for release to Ormond Beach.
All eight turtles were stranded off Florida’s East coast earlier this year due to cold stunning. Initially triaged at the University of Florida’s Whitney Lab Sea Turtle Hospital and Volusia Marine Science Center through a partnership with the FWC, these eight turtles, along with 22 others, transferred to The Florida Aquarium for long-term supportive care.

Would be interested to know why you are culturing paddlefish. Is it strictly for research, or are their aquaculture and population restoration applications as well? I understand how difficult it must be to effectively feed a filter-feeding species like this. My only critique is you need to find different background music!! Cheers!
